Do you have a virtual assistant or looking at hiring one soon but unsure how they can help with managing your busy schedule?

Or, like me with a family of 6, with various football practices to keep track of, game dates, the kids’ social lives and their birthday parties to remember and other activities spread throughout the week?

Google Calendar is a fantastic tool that can help you organize and inform others of your schedule.

And it doesn’t cost a thing.

It is free with your Google account.

So what can Google Calendar do?

1 You can give access to others whom you want to view your schedule and give them the level of authorisation you are comfortable with.

2 You can invite others to particular events in your calendar to make it easy for them to have it in their calendars and you can see who has accepted or otherwise.

3 It is very versatile and can be synced amongst many different apps whether you use an Android or iOs phone.

So how do you share your google calendar with others?

I have created a step by step visual for you below.

Step 1: Locate your calendar from under the My Calendars Section. Click on the drop down menu on the side.

Step 2: Select “Share this Calendar” from the sub-menu.

Step 3: Ensure you are on the Share this Calendar tab.

Step 4: Enter the email of the person(s) you want to share your calendar with.

Step 5: Choose the permission settings as you see fit and click Add Person.

Step 6: Click Save.

The person you have invited will now get an email invite notification about your Google Calendar settings allowing them to view or edit etc.

You can add as many people as you like to your calendar if you have a team you work with.

For public events, you can also set your calendar as a public calendar so others can subscribe if they are interested.

Now that you know how to share your calendar, you can now start handing over your schedule management to your virtual assistant or sharing it with family members to help keep track of your schedule.
