Mailchimp Import: A How To Guide

Are you struggling to figure out your mailchimp import? Working out how to move those contacts from your Outlook address book to Mailchimp? If you are brand new to the online marketing world, one of the first tools that you may get to hear is Mailchimp and I am guessing you are working on getting yourself started. Congratulations! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mailchimp is an email marketing platform that small business owners can use for their email marketing campaigns and can get started and use Mailchimp for up to 2000 contacts entirely for free.

The very first step is to sign up for an account with Mailchimpย and then working out which contacts you have to move over and import into the platform.

This video tutorial is part of an email course on Mailchimp that Vanessa has put together and has offered this for you as a mailchimp help resource for your mailchimp import.

Once you have created your Mailchimp account, the following steps then take place to help you with your import.

Step 1: Create a list.

Step 2: Fill in your list details and footer settings.

Step 3: Put your list on an excel spreadsheet or numbers file (if you’re using a Mac) or better yet, into a Google Sheet.

Step 4: Organise your contact list into sub-headings that make it easy for you to identify the data when imported.

Step 5. Save/Download your contact list as a CSV file.

Step 6: Match the headings you have to the Mailchimp platform.

DONE

That’s it! You’re done ๐Ÿ™‚ Congratulations and if you have more contacts to import, you can repeat the same process. If you have a couple more to add, you can manually add them by using the Add Subscriber feature.
